How it’s built
- Layout
- A laptop mockup fills most of the gallery image against a dark gradient background. The in-screen white page shows HOLMCHROME at upper left and a small circular menu at upper right. A broad wavy black filmstrip cuts across the center, carrying three portrait frames with two monochrome images around a warm color portrait; small frame/stock labels follow the strip. Tiny sequence/caption details sit along the lower screen. Laptop, keyboard and gradient surround are presentation framing.
- Type
- Small sans interface labels; filmstrip carries tiny technical lettering; imagery, not typography, dominates. No exact face/metrics.
- Color and surface
- In-screen mostly white ground, black filmstrip and dark captions, with portrait imagery in monochrome and warm color. Physical laptop and dark surround are not page surfaces.
- Components
- In-screen brand/menu, broad curved filmstrip with three portraits and small frame labels, small lower sequence information.
What makes it work
- Open light page field
- Continuous curved filmstrip
- Multiple portrait frames within strip
- Small subordinate frame labels
On a new subjectUse a single continuous band or path to connect a small set of unrelated images, with compact labels tied to each. Replace portraits and brand; do not reproduce device framing.

Live behavior
- Today
- Holmchrome fills a pale neutral viewport with an oversized undulating dark photographic film strip crossing the middle, perforated upper/lower edges and frame numbers. A color portrait is framed between monochrome portraits. Later desktop states have a tiny bold dark identity upper left, black circular two-stroke menu upper right and widely tracked mono-like counter/camera metadata at bottom corners. The film-edge lettering and numbers are image content, not measured webpage type.
- Responsive
- Tablet preserves edge-anchored identity/menu and lower counter/settings while the strip crops horizontally around the center portrait. Phone keeps a much smaller-height strip across the middle, with large empty pale areas above/below; identity inset reduces from34px to18px, menu remains46px. Only left-bottom counter remains visibly present; right camera settings are absent from saved phone frame. No alternate menu panel was opened.
- Scroll
- The desktop-scroll label still measures scroll0/document1440x1000. The same central color portrait and adjacent monochrome portraits remain with slightly changed strip geometry; time and input are confounded. No document scrolling or project-index advance was established; no virtual-scroll mechanism inferred.
