How it’s built
- Layout
- A black page places a centered, letter-spaced welcome statement amid many rectangular film/game stills scattered around the perimeter at varied sizes. Wide black gaps preserve legibility; small work/about/contact links sit near the bottom.
- Type
- Thin widely tracked uppercase sans statement and small uppercase navigation. Exact font and metrics unknown.
- Color and surface
- Black field, dim varied saturated stills around edges, restrained pale type.
- Components
- Perimeter image collage, compact centered statement, small navigation.
What makes it work
- Black negative-space field
- Scattered media stills
- Central statement
- Small navigation
On a new subjectFor a university climate-science department, arrange varied field-research images at differing sizes around one readable central mission statement, preserve broad dark gaps, and keep department links at the bottom. Replace entertainment stills and composer identity.
Live behavior
- Today
- The initial recovery captures show an audio-choice intro: black field, centered gray words stepping diagonally through “CLICK ANYWHERE TO TURN ON YOUR SOUND,” and a small underlined “ENTER WITHOUT SOUND” control near the lower edge. The desktop-t0, desktop-t2 and desktop-scroll images are byte-identical; the regular and reduced-motion phone images are also byte-identical. These older captures do not show a distinct timed, scrolled or reduced-motion state. In the separately captured current session, choosing Enter without sound reveals a full-screen black space populated by tilted cinematic image panels around the centered MICHAEL GATT / COMPOSER mark; INDEX VIEW sits below center and the work/about/contact navigation anchors near the bottom. The project index switches to a numbered, centered list of nine large letterspaced titles with a floating image preview behind the list. One hover on project 001 changed the preview image while leaving the list visible.
- Responsive
- The entered desktop view at 1514x1574 and DPR 1.25 places the name near the top center, the index link near the viewport center and small site navigation near the bottom. A viewport-sized canvas element was measured. At 390x844 the name and hamburger sit at the top, project stills occupy varied positions with some clipped by the screen edges, INDEX VIEW remains near center, and a mute icon sits at the lower right; the bottom navigation is not visible in this frame. The measured document dimensions equal the viewport in both captures, so no page scrolling is established.
- Scroll
- All six pass10 captures and all four pass11 measurement files report scrollY 0. The desktop-scroll screenshot is byte-identical to desktop-t0 and desktop-t2, so the older capture provides no visual evidence of scrolling. The entered-page document dimensions match the viewport. No scroll-dependent behavior was observed.
