How it’s built
- Layout
- Black canvas dominated by an enormous white FORMAT wordmark whose custom angular letterforms span nearly the full width. A slim white text strip below separates project attribution, explanatory note and small mode/version links. Far below, a tall white numbered specification panel sits slightly right of center; another wide project panel enters at the bottom with small side thumbnails. Broad black intervals separate these groups.
- Type
- Oversized geometric block lettering with cut-ins forms the identity. Supporting strip text is compact sans-serif; the lower list uses larger simple sans-serif. Exact face and metrics unknown.
- Color and surface
- Near-black canvas, white lettering and panels, black panel text, very pale grayscale imagery. Nearly monochrome; no evident shadows.
- Components
- Large FORMAT wordmark; thin credit/mode row; numbered specification panel with faint image; lower project/editorial panel; small side thumbnails.
What makes it work
- Near-black open field
- Oversized distinctive identity wordmark
- Compact secondary labels
- Separated pale content panels
On a new subjectUse an unrelated large identity or category wordmark above concise information in a few separated light panels on a dark field. Replace project identity and examples.
Live behavior
- Today
- All saved live-state screenshots show the same “403 Forbidden / Access denied” page, with the message that the index file may not be loaded or permissions may be set incorrectly and a blue “How to fix it?” button. The capture log records HTTP 403. No current page content from format.obys.agency is visible. The separately selected gallery reference is a black-and-white Format — Obys special project with huge geometric white lettering, a central vertical-format example sheet and smaller project previews; it is a distinct source image, not evidence of the blocked live page.
- Responsive
- The 1440×1000 desktop, 768×1024 tablet and 390×844 phone screenshots all show the same access-denied page centered within a pale gray surface; each document equals the viewport and measures scrollY=0. These frames show the error layout at three sizes, not the site’s responsive design or breakpoints.
- Scroll
- The state labeled desktop-scroll has a 1440×1000 viewport and document and actual scrollY=0; its image is identical to desktop-t0. The captured site response is not scrollable in these observations, so no page scroll behavior is established.
